I Started to Laugh and Feel Joy Again…
Over the past 20 years my experience at the Y has only been positive, revealing, enlightening and healing. Moving here from Toronto and knowing nobody I felt the “need” to join the YMCA. I was in a dark place in my life whereby laughing was difficult for me. Slowly a collection of friendships started to evolve and this involved laughing.
The Y then became my safe haven and a place to feel again and develop friendships, some now 20 years old. I began to tap into a vibe of family and connection.
Today I have been working out in a more serious style with a YMCA personal trainer. Being happy AND training is the best combination!! The specific training has not only helped my physical fitness but my mind and clarity of thoughts. I feel clearer and stronger in who I am and what I believe to be true for me. Being strong in body, mind and soul is the key! BUT also laughing and enjoying life was what I need to learn from the YMCA. It was always in ALL WAYS be in my heart!
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” Gandhi
