Scott Young – Board Member
As a proud member of the YMCA in Innisfil for a number of years now my family and I have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to the Y.
Shortly after the Y opened in Innisfil we became members and utilized the fine facilities on a regular basis. As time went on we noticed the sense of Community that the Y brings to Innisfil. A place where all walks of life can gather and spend quality family time while promoting a healthy mind, body and spirit.
I am particularly appreciative of the Y playing an significant part in helping me change my health and life style as I have lost over 56 lbs. (going from 243bs to 186 lbs.) which I have kept off for over two years now. The benefits have been immense including attaining normal if not excellent medical levels along with experiencing higher levels of energy. This new found energy I have utilized by helping coach my sons Rep basketball team along with sharing valuable time spent with my family doing active adventures and physical sports of all kinds and levels of difficulty. My next goal is to start to train for a full marathon as it is on my “bucket List”. You can see me at the Y working out or with my family approximately 6 days a week which I believe is time well spent.
I have recently become a member of the Board of Directors for the YMCA Simcoe/Muskoka as a way to “pay it back” for all that the Y does for me and my family and look forward to helping in the making the Y the place to be for all.
Thanks again YMCA Simcoe/ Muskoka !
