2 years ago I was invited to participate in the Learn to Run program at my local Y. At first I was hesitant, as group physical activity gave me serious anxiety, but with encouragement from the team, I was able to push myself beyond what I ever thought I could do. I’ve learned that in order to find my strength, sometimes i need to get out of my comfort zone, because the challenges don’t get easier, I just get stronger. After completing my first 5km, then 10km and finally my first half marathon, I feel like my run journey is just beginning. That’s My Y.
