Jack is a fixture at the Wasaga Beach YMCA. He is waiting at the front doors, rain or shine, for the YMCA to open, Monday to Sunday. Always with a word of encouragement and a smile! However, one morning he showed up dazed and disheveled. He went on to explain that his wife had passed on yesterday and he needed to be somewhere where he felt safe.

It has been many months since that morning and Jack has come a long way. He still comes in every morning, rain or shine, Monday to Sunday, with a smile. The YMCA, for Jack, was his sanctuary for healing.
